Ring In A Day & Afternoon Tea 

We welcome you to the beautiful Wyresdale Park Estate where you will be spending the day lake side in the beautiful Lake House. Expert Goldsmith Rachel Elizabeth Wood is hosting an exclusive day where students will learn how to make their own ring using the ancient technique of wax carving.  
At the end of the day wax finished masters will be sent to the casters for casting in sterling silver and hand polishing, before being posted out to students ready to be worn. 

The Day 

9.00 am Start & Welcome 
10.00 am Demonstration and design session with Rachel
1.00 pm Afternoon Tea curtesy of the fabulous Apple Store
2.00 pm Afternoon practical- Perfecting your designs in wax
4.30 pm Celebration of your work with a glass of fizz

You will learn:

 Designing for wax carving  
Properties of different forms of wax 
Using wax carving tools to achieve your designs  
Making finished wax carved masters ready to cast  

All the tools and materials you need will be provided on the day. 

Afternoon Tea

Selection of freshly made sandwiches & cakes, scones jam & cream. Served on a traditional carousel with tea or filter coffee. Locally sourced and homemade by The Apple Store
